The San Diego 100 course is a 90% single track mountain course which covers four recreational areas in the east county mountains of San Diego. The 2014 start and finish area have been relocated from the Al Bahr Shrine Camp to Lake Cuyamaca due to last July's Chariot Fire. The 2014 course is very similar to the 2013 event with trails traversing sections of the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT), Noble Canyon, Cuyamaca State Park and Mt Laguna Recreational Areas. A very challenging course with approximately 28,000' feet of total elevation change (14k climb & 14k descent) with a 32 hour time limit.
The 2014 race start and finish area has moved to Lake Cuyamaca which is located 9 miles southwest of Julian, CA on state Hwy 79. See race web site for lodging details.
