Frozen Gnome 50k & 10k
There’s no place like Gnome! Come chill with the McHenry (County) Ultra Running Dudes and Dudettes, MUDD, on a fun and frosty run in Crystal Lake on January 13th. The Frozen Gnome's beautiful single-track course will take runners through the winter wonderland of Veteran Acres and Sterne’s Woods. Folks may choose either the 50K ultra run or the 10K race for speedsters. Gnome doubt about it, either course will be tough.
There will be age group awards and surprises along the trail. Proceeds go to the Crystal Lake Park District. The Gnome Depot Aid Station will be heated and well stocked with warm drinks and hot soup. Registration is limited. It doesn’t take a Sherlock Gnomes to know this event will be exceptionally cool.
We are not going to be able to guarentee shirts after December 24th!!!! Sign up soon so your for sure to get one.
Main parking lot of Veteran Acres. North of 176 on Walk up avenue. Race start line is north of the baseball fields/tennis courts. The course is mainly single track trails on a lot of hills.
