Registration Options -- The 2013 Half Marathon Trail Series
Fort Ebey offers 10k, Half Marathon, 20 Mile and Marathon options. Are you a Half Fanatic? The Fort Ebey Half Marathon is the first in the 2013 Half Marathon Trail Series.
Fort Ebey Course Description
The course starts and finishes at the Gun Battery picnic area, with a bluff-top view of the Straight of Juan de Fuca. The mostly rolling route winds through and among forested kettle depressions, with many gently-flowing trails, as well as sections with more twists and turns. There are many short to moderate ups and downs but very few large hills. The trail surfaces are mostly smoother than normal for the Northwest, due to the geology of this area.
The 10k course makes a single, clockwise loop in the Western part of the area, while the Half-Marathon course ventures further into the Eastern reaches of the forest. The 20-Miler follows the Half-Marathon then the 10k route, while the Marathon is two of the Half-Marathon loop. All courses have aid stations mid-course, as well as a stretch with a waterfront view along the scenic bluff-top trail.
For a more details, including the location of aid stations and driving directions, visit the Northwest Trail Runs website.
Northwest Trail Runs provides courses that are clearly marked and precisely measured, we record a finish time for all finishers and post results to the website after the event. Longer courses will have well-stocked aid stations, and there will be refreshments at the finish.
