Description
The event begins at the Punxsutawney Community Center at 220 North Jefferson Street in downtown Punxsutawney. The course is up and down hills, along country roads, on trails, logging roads, pipeline rightaways, and across streams. The finish is downtown where the event started at the Community Center. The course will be marked with white paint on rocks, the ground, or grass, and American flags. Race participants usually face a mild warm up in temperatures before finishing and may expect variable humidity running in the woods.
Conditions are unpredictable and pre-race precipitation varies from year to year, so be prepared. Support personnel will sweep the course following the race to pick up trash (please be kind) .
