Description
Enjoy vistas of the Pacific Coast as you take a scenic tour of the spectacular Marin Headlands with views of San Francisco, Tiburon, the Golden Gate Bridge and California coastline.
The 100 and 50 mile events are both Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run qualifying races. The course is a 25-mile loop. For the 50 and 100 mile distances, the first loop is clockwise. Then the course reverses direction to counterclockwise and alternate (“washing machine” loops). Marathon runners will add a 1.2 mile loop at the start before beginning the 25-mile loop.
Pacers are allowed after 50 miles in the 100 mile event. They are not allowed in other distances.

Qualifications
For the 100
miler, completion of any ultramarathon within the prior 18 months. No qualification standards for Marathon or 50
Mile distances.
Aid Stations/Drop Bags
We
will provide a variety of fresh fruit, salty snacks, salted potatoes, PB&J
sandwiches, salt tabs, sugary snacks, Clif Shot Sports Drink, Coke, and
water. Rodeo Beach and Tenessee Valley
aid stations will have soup and “real” foods during the night and second
morning. 50 and 100 mile runners may
bring drop bags with personal needs which we will transport to aid
stations.
Shirt Options
Sport-Tek shirts will be given to all
runners, or runners may upgrade to a Patagonia Capilene shirt.
Sport-Tek: These Ultra Performance shirts for ladies or
men are 95/5 poly/spandex that keeps you cooler and drier while running. Raglan short sleeves add comfort and makes
for easy movement. Ladies has a V-neck
while the male shirt is crew.
Patagonia
Shirts: Stay dry and cool and get some
protection from the sun and salt in silky, lightweight Capilene. It’s quick to wick, ultra breathable and fast
to dry. Made from 100% all-recycled
polyester with 15 UPF sun protections and Gladiodor natural odor control.
Awards
Awards are
given to the 1st place overall female and male finishers in each
distance, as well as age group winners.
Medals will be given to Marathon finishers, sandstone coasters to 50
Mile finishers, and buckles will be given to 100 Mile finishers. There are two buckles: sub-24 hour finishers’ buckles and over 24
hour finishers’ buckles.
