Race Information
Giant redwoods dominate the landscape in
our Santa Cruz trail run. Aside from twisting single track that opens
up to expansive roads and paths, you’ll enjoy the ocean breezes pouring
in from the Santa Cruz coast. The race will offer everything from river
crossings to high ridges with aid stations every 5-6 miles for refueling
before tackling the next beautiful, albeit strenuous, section. Bring
your families and stay after the race to enjoy Henry Cowell park where
we’ll have post race food fit for a trail running king or queen!
Parking at Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park is $10.00. There is
limited parking along Highway 9 outside of the park. To save some money,
we recommend you carpool from Felton (minutes away from the park) or
Santa Cruz.

Awards
Overall winners of each race distance will receive a medal, a custom glass Stein and an item from the Inside Trail Racing schwag bag.
All ultra-marathon distance finishers will receive a custom printed Pint Glass with the race logo.
All other finishers will receive a custom print Coffee Mug with the race logo.
The Dead Last Finisher (DLF) in each even will receive a custom award.
Age-group medals (3 deep) will be awarded in the following categories, for both males and females:

Aid Station Distances and Timing
Aid Stations
At Inside Trail Racing aid stations it’s like an all you can eat buffet,
but this is a race, so don’t linger too long! Expect to find variety at
our aid stations, including sweet and salty offerings like trail mix,
pretzels, cookies, boiled potatoes with salt for dipping, regular soda,
water (of course!), elecrolyte drink, PB&J finger sandwiches, gummy
bears, salt tablets, you get the idea. There will also be general first
aid items but no anti-inflamatory medicine. We strongly encourage you to
carry at least one 20oz bottle from which to sip while you enjoy your
run.
