The Why
We wanted to create a premier event that would bring runners from all over together to enjoy miles in NE Florida. It was pivotal to that we allowed ample time for runners to reach their goals whether it is their first ultra, first 100-mile buckle or push themselves for more miles than they have ever done before.
Join us in Middleburg, FL (just outside of Jax) at the Clay County Regional Sports Complex for the 2nd Annual SURF for a weekend full of fun with running, vendors, and other shenanigans. This is sure to be a fun and inspiring weekend. We will have some neat Valentines giveaways as well and some sort of Presidents Day Theme as well! Our Inaugural event was a smash and the participants really enjoyed the course and the ALL NIGHT/DAY FOOD AVAILABLE!

The only runners that are allowed to have pacers are runners doing the 24 and 48 hour events. Pacers are only allowed after the runner has completed 12 hours and they must register with the RD or staff. We will allow exceptions on a case-by-case basis if there is a special need. Only Mike Martinez or Russell Hartzell can authorize the exception.

Sanitation Protocols
Unfortunately, we're still living in the era with covid and other diseases, so we need to be safe to protect our runners and our volunteer staff. At each aid station we will have volunteers available to ensure that all hydration igloos will be sanitized adequately.
Aid Stations
Aid Stations
There will be an aid station at the start/finish area which you will pass by 2x on each loop with the standard Ultra fare and we will have Skratch electrolytes and a stockade of pickle juice. Since this is a shorter loop and a cooler time of the year we will only have one aid station. This is a cupless race. All runners will need to bring their own bottles, hydration vest with bladder or collapsible cup to the event.
Some of the Aid Station Items will be:
Water
Skratch
Coke
Ginger Ale
Bananas
Oranges
Candy
Bacon
Chorizo and egg burritos
Quesadillas
Potatoes

ramen noodles
burgers
hot dogs
brats. We will also have the Hot Food grilling area at the 1/2 way area in front of the bathrooms like this year! We have a personal chef John Ramirez that left EVERYONE well fed, please be courteous though and recognize he is not a " short order cook". We will have regular cooking schedules where we will cook breakfast items in the morning and lunch items ( beginning at 11am)
Music
John Ramirez of Fat Daddy J's will provide the tunes for the event or the soundtrack to your misery depending on your perspective.
