Registration Details
Devil's Gulch is a challenging race with three distances: a half-marathon, 50 Miler and 100 Miler. The idea for this race was created by Jessie McClurg of Banshee Running, and Evergreen Trail Runs is honored to be continuing what she started.
This course is different from most of our races--it's got the hot, dry high desert, wicked gulches, and huge rock hoodoos! Plus, an actual restaurant to serve you some post-race food. The 100 Miler is a tough one, with lots and lots of vert and heat. The 50 Miler is....also challenging, just a half-portion of crazy. We've also got a half-marathon for those with a more balanced relationship with running.
Top 3 in all gender categories will receive prizes. Interested in volunteering? Click here to sign up - you'll get a free or discounted race entry!
Devil's Gulch 100
***New 50mile and 100mile course for 2025***
This tough and gorgeous course will take you on a 100-mile loop up to the summit of Mission Peak and Mt. Lillian. You'll then run along Tronson Ridge with incredible 360° views before descending to lower elevations in Ponderosa Pine forests. Then it's over to Number 2 Canyon, where you'll switch from technical rocky single track to smooth-flowing trails up to Horse Lake Mountain. Pause at the summit for views or catch the sunset over the famous Enchantment Platue. You'll rack up over 20,000' of gain in this race, but don't worry: you have 39 hours to get it done. The course follows plenty of single track, plus a bit of forest service road. The views are incredible, and the temperatures should be nice and warm (read: your brain might cook). Check out the website for more details about the race, the course, and the schedule.
Finishers will receive a shirt and plenty of food and beverage at the finish line. And, of course, 100-miles will also receive a belt buckle to commemorate this accomplishment!
Devil's Gulch 50
***New 50mile and 100mile course for 2025***
Not quiiiiite ready for the full 100? Check out the 50 miler! This beautiful course will take you on a shorter but still challenging 50-mile loop up to the summit of Mission Peak and Mt. Lillian. You'll then run along Tronson Ridge with incredible 360° views before descending to lower elevations in Ponderosa Pine forests. Here, you'll wave goodbye to your 100-mile friends and start the gentle but long climb up Devil's Gulch and back to the finish line at Mission Ridge. This climb has many creek crossings to cool off in, so make sure to take advantage of those!
You'll rack up about 11,000' of gain in this race, and you'll get to see a huge range of ecosystems along the way. The course follows plenty of single track, plus a bit of forest service road. Check out the website for more details about the race, the course, and the schedule.
Finishers will receive a shirt, hand-crafted finishers award, and plenty of food and beverages at the finish line.
Devil's Gulch Half Marathon
Ok, maybe you aren't ready for the 50 either. That's fine! Sign up for the half marathon, a single loop that starts and ends at the ski resort, with about 2,500' of elevation gain. This race will start Saturday at 8:00am. Half-marathon finishers receive a shirt, same as the 50 and 100 Miler. Details on the website!
