Event Description

Cape Sebastian, “The Cape” to Gold Beach locals. It is a beloved, and prominent feature just South of town, easily accessible by Highway 101. The trail that starts at the top, and heads down the South side is extremely popular with locals, and visitors alike. We want to take you on a different adventure, on the less travelled North side. These trails are some of our favorites, but they definitely pack a punch!

Course Description

15K – 2,100ft of elevation gain. Starting from the parking lot on Bellview Ln the course heads downhill to start, then a right turn onto the Oregon Coast Trail. The Oregon Coast Trail connects to the 333 Trail with a left turn, and you’ll head steadily downhill to the beach. After just shy of a mile of beach, you will head up the Mole Trail, and then turn right when you get back to the Oregon Coast/Bellview Trail. Here is a mix of climbing and descending til you reach the bottom of the North Cape Trail. Turning left onto the trail you will climb up to the top of Cape Sebastian and check in with the aid station before returning down the North Cape Trail and following the Oregon Coast/Bellview Trail back to the start/finish area.
4.25M - 850ft of elevation gain. This course follows the 15K route except after coming up the Mole Trail you make a left on the Oregon Coast/Bellview Trail to head back to the start/finish area.
The courses will be well marked with pink, and lime green flagging, and arrow signs.
