***Online registration has closed, but you can register in person at packet pick-up on Friday, April 21 from 4:30-6:30PM at Nooga Paws at 313 Manufacturers Rd #111, Chattanooga, TN 37405 and at check-in on race day at 5000 Lula Lake Road, Lookout Mountain, GA 30750 starting when gates open at 10:00 AM ET.

Get ready for a fun 5K adventure at Lula Lake Land Trust atop beautiful Lookout Mountain! Our Tails & Trails 5K is designed for racers and their leashed dog that takes you on a classic course through the heart of Lula Lake's scenic Core Preserve - with water / cool off stations for your four-legged friend! You don't have to have a dog to race (but it makes it more fun!).

Hiking trails will NOT be open to the public or spectators, but spectators are welcome to enjoy the festivities in our meadow where we will have food and beverages available for purchase and live music.

The gates will open at 10AM ET for check-in and bib pick-up. The race will begin at 11:00AM ET. Stick around for food, live music from Joey Winslett Jam, and fun with vendors in our meadow until 2:00PM ET!

Note: This is a cupless event. Bring your own water bottle.

$45 registration fee which includes food & drink, swag bag, and the good feeling of supporting the important conservation work and trail-building at Lula Lake!


Bring a can of dog and/or cat food redeemable for one beer (limit one per racer) to be donated to an animal shelter in need!

This race is presented by Nooga Paws + Play Wash Pint + Play Wash Stay, and they will be awarding the top runners (who race the course with a dog) a dog food prize package. Note: These below top prizes will only be awarded to runners who race with a dog.

1st Place M & F: 6-month dog food package from Nooga Paws + a quarterly membership to Play Wash Pint. (valued at $450 each)

2nd Place M & F: prize package valued at $200 (self dog wash, gear/toy package, & Nooga Paws bakery treats)

3rd Place M & F: prize package valued at $100 (self dog wash, gear/toy package, & Nooga Paws bakery treats)

Packet Pick-up:
Packet pick-up will be available at on Friday, April 21 from 4:30-6:30PM at Nooga Paws at 313 Manufacturers Rd #111, Chattanooga, TN 37405 and at check-in on race day starting when gates open at 10:00 AM ET.


Race Details:
- The course will be well marked and you will be expected to follow the race course to place.
- Please arrive at least 30 minutes before race time.
- Spectators welcomed to watch, but hiking trails will NOT be opened.
- Each race course will have top men and top women categories for those racing with a dog.

Course:
The 5K is a moderate course will take you through the heart of our Core Preserve to see the best sights including our bluff, waterfall, and lake. The course will start and finish on the gravel road with with a 350+ ft elevation gain and some sections of rocky/technical single track trails (and the mileage is close to 3.5 miles).

There aren't any aid stations; however, we will have water/cool-off stations for your dog.

This event will be rain or shine. In the event of extremely severe weather we will delay the start or reschedule.
