The Footprints Trail Run: A Race for the Climate
More than a trail race, the Footprints Trail Run gathers runners together who are committed to climate action and connects them for more effective change. The race is the starting point for a broader climate conversation with the trail running community.
Trail Race
A point-to-point trail race with 5 and 10 mile options. You'll start at the Craftsbury Outdoor Center and wind through a mix of singletrack, ski trails, and dirt roads. The race will finish at the Craftsbury Farmer's Market on Craftsbury Common, voted best farmers market in Vermont for 2022. You'll enjoy a tasty lunch (included in registration), and have a chance to peruse local farm and craft vendors before the awards and climate conversation.

Post-Race Climate Conversation
In addition to great food, music and tasty beverages, our post-race celebrations will culminate in a send-off for Footprints’ newest climate leaders. Each Footprints camper will give a brief presentation on the climate action project that they developed over the prior week at Footprints Running Camp. Proceeds from the race will go into a fund to help campers implement those projects in their home communities.
We hope you’ll be part of the action, both on the course and in the post-race conversations. We’ll share the topics of the Footprints camper projects prior to the event and we challenge you to find ways that you can plug in your knowledge, networks, and ideas to these projects at the post-race celebration. Together we’ll send the Footprints community home equipped to take meaningful climate action!
