INVITATIONAL 24-HOUR RACE

THE INVITATIONAL 24-HOUR RACE IS SOLD OUT AS OF MARCH 6! After the 25 spots have been filled, a Wait List will be created.
Beginning Saturday morning, June 15, at 9:00 AM, we’re offering an Invitational 24-Hour race specifically designed for top-quality athletes who are trying to set a record or qualify for a national team. The idea is that the track will be relatively empty at the time, with only the 10-day runners on the track.

THERE WILL BE A MAXIMUM OF 30 ENTRIES ACCEPTED FOR THIS EVENT. 25 WILL BE FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED, WITH THE FINAL 5 ENTRY SLOTS HELD BY THE RACE DIRECTORS FOR THEIR EXCLUSIVE USE.

Although there are no hard standards for inclusion in this race, we are looking for runners who have some already-proven performances. If you’re a man who’s run sub-17-hours for 100 Miles, or sub 7:20 for 50 Miles, or sub 3:45 for 50K or if you’re a woman running sub-19-hour 100-mile, sub 8:00-hour 50-mile, or sub-4:15 50K times, then this race is for you! If you think you qualify for inclusion in this race, please email Mike Melton at mcmelton57@gmail.com or Bill Schultz at weston1989475@gmail.com and ask us about this race.

Sign up for any of the 24-Hour race options, then send an email to both Bill Schultz and Mike Melton at the addresses shown above, and describe your past performances and your goal for the June 15 race, and in the HIGHLY UNLIKELY event that you do NOT qualify for the Invitational race, we will process a complete refund of your entry fee, including the Ultrasignup fee.

The Place for setting Records

Looking for the definitive location for besting your personal records?
So were we. We literally searched around the globe for the perfect venue for setting World, National, or Age Group records. You all know the issues with the outdoors... it's outdoors! Here's your chance to run without competing against the elements. Climate controlled, 50-55 degrees, with 30-35% humidity.
The running surface is 12 millimeter Regupol Kombi brand, perfect for running.

Of course, it's a USATF Sanctioned event with a certified course- WI14001DM. The event is also sanctioned by the IAU, and was awarded a first-year Bronze Label. We look for this label to be upgraded to Silver for 2023

Mike Melton is the Head Timer.

Zach Bitter smashes 100 mile World Record at the Pettit Center

11:19:13! Can you believe it? In 2019 Zach Bitter broke the old World Record of 11:28:03 by almost Nine Minutes!
He continued on to better his own World Record for the 12hr by completing 104.88 miles.
Congrats to Zach! Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
Many National Age Group records also fall each year at the Pettit Center.
