New Event in 2020!

Many things have changed this year, and we're hoping to add some fun.

The Gumption Trail Run will be hosted at the same time as Grit Gravel Grind (bike race), on a nearby course that does not intersect.
The course is 15 kilometers long, and is on mostly horse-trail, with 1.5 miles of pavement.

(15K is one loop, 30K is two loops, 45K is three loops, 60K is four loops)
The 5K will be an out-and-back with one aid station at the turnaround.
There will be an aid station every 3 miles for the 15K and up.

Participants will receive a race shirt, and finishers will receive a medal.

This event is limited in size. Social distancing will be encouraged, and we will keep aid stations and common areas as sanitary and contact-free as possible.

Packet Pickup:
Friday, August 28th from 5-7pm at the Timer Guys office (114 N. Main Street) in El Dorado
Saturday, August 29th at the race site, starting at 5am


Packet Pickup will be available starting at 5am on race morning (Aug. 29) at the race site.
El Dorado State Park Amphitheater near Walnut River Campground
The State Park requires $5.00 per car for entrance (without a KS Park Permit).

Early Packet Pickup will be available on Friday, August 28rd from 5pm - 7pm at the Timer Guys Office (114 N Main Street) in El Dorado.



Masks and Social Distancing - Participants, crew members and race staff/volunteers will be expected to stay at least 6 feet apart from other crews/participants/staff, and wear a mask at packet pickup and while gathering for any reason. Please also wear a mask in public when traveling to and from the event.

The start is chip-timed, and in an open area. There will be plenty of room to spread out at the start line. Please be aware that Grit Gravel Grind (cycling race), will also be starting in the same area.



Start Times are as follows:
15K and 30K start at 6:45am
45K and 60K start at 7:00am
5K starts at 7:45am

The Finish Line cutoff is at 8:00pm.
