Mera Mayhem 2021

Come experience the MERA Mayhem, it is going to be an adventure of a race, so bring your "A" game.

You can choose a 2, 5 or 10 hour option of pain, and most points WINS!

We will be offering cash prizes for top finishers, check out the race information for more details. We look forward to seeing you out on the course!!

2 HOUR

2 Hours to gain as much elevation and mileage as possible
200ft= 1 point
1 mile = 1 point
Start time: 7:00 am
End time: 9:00 am
There will be no half points given.

5 HOUR

5 Hours to gain as much elevation and mileage as possible
200ft= 1 point
1 mile = 1 point
Start time: 7:00 am
End time: 12:00 pm
There will be no half points given.

10 HOUR

10 Hours to gain as much elevation and mileage as possible
200ft= 1 point
1 mile = 1 point
Start time: 7:00 am
End time: 4:00pm
There will be no half points given.

THE NITTY GRITTY DETAILS:

The race will proceed as follows: Runners will have their allotted race time to get as many points as possible, you have to get a full mile or 200 feet elevation to gain a point within the designated MERA trail system. There will be no half points given. All runners will need to download Strava on some sort of device to prove distance and elevation covered at the end of the race. If racers are at a tie at the end of the race there will be a 15 minute sudden death round to see who can win. If runners are not back the the start/finish line at the exact time points will be deducted. One point will be lost for every three minutes runners exceed their race time, so plan accordingly. Runners will decide what their route will be. Do you like to climb hills? Go for it! Would you like to sprint on the flats? Do it! Just get all the points you can!!
