COURSE DESCRIPTION
All runs will take place on the Switchgrass Mountain Bike Trail at Wilson State Park. The 100 has the most elevation gain and loss of any 100-miler in Kansas! If you’re looking for a challenging course in the “flatlands” you’ve found it. The trail is easy-to-follow, rugged, single-track with very few trees/wooded areas. Beautiful views of Wilson State Park and Wilson Lake are abundant.
Elevation Statistics
20-mile – 2,024 ft, 100k – 6,072 ft, 100-mile - 10,120 ft, Pure Hell 140 – 14,168 ft
The races will consist of 20-mile loops – one loop for 20-milers, three loops for 100k runners, 5 loops for 100-milers, and 7 loops for Pure Hell 140-milers.
The course will be heavily marked with ribbons, flags, and wrong-way signs. This is an extremely easy course to follow. Getting off course has not been an issue.
Aid Stations – There will be two aid stations – the start/finish and “Hell Hill.” Hell Hill you will have the pleasure of visiting twice per loop. The main aid station will be at the start/finish area and Hell Hill is around 10.5 miles and 16.75 miles of the loop. Both will include your typical aid station items – food (vegan options), water, soda, and electrolyte drink. Both aid stations will have some hot food items at night as well. There will be 1 unmanned water station at mile 5. The furthest one must go without access to water is 6.25 miles.

This is a state park, and you will need a Kansas State Park day pass or an annual pass. If you don't have one, you may or may not be fined. Please don’t ask us if you need one. It’s your call. You can purchase one on the way into the park.
Minimum age of 18 years old to race.
You are allowed to change to a different distance. This can be done (by you) on Ultrasignup by editing your registration. If you change to a cheaper distance, you will not be refunded for the difference. If you change to a more expensive distance, you will be directed to the cart, where you will pay the difference.
If you cannot attend please let us know at least three days prior to race start and we will take your name off of the entrants list. If you do not tell us at least three days before race start you will be listed as DNS on the results.
We DO NOT allow runners to drop distances after starting the race. If you start the 100 miler, you either complete it, or you DNF. Same goes for 100k participants in regards to dropping to the 20 mile. THE RACE YOU START IS THE RACE YOU MUST FINISH. NO EXCEPTIONS.
If you litter, you will be disqualified.
If you cut the trail, you will be disqualified.
You must carry a means to hold water at all times.
No whining or complaining. ;). It’s supposed to be hard. It might be hot, it might be cold, and the wind might blow. If you’re prepared you’ll be OK.
Race Cancellation – In the event the race is cancelled due to severe weather, or other uncontrollable circumstances we cannot offer refunds. Everything is typically already paid for at this point. That being said, it is highly unlikely, and we will do everything in our power to make sure the race happens.

• The credit will be attached to your Ultrasignup account and will automatically apply the next time you register for an Ultraverse Supplements event. Note - sending an email to us does not initiate the cancellation of your registration. You must do this yourself for the credit to apply. You can do this by signing into Ultrasignup and then going to your registrations and clicking “edit”.
• Your credit appears in your registration history under "outstanding credits and coupons".
• Credit will be valid for one year, cannot be “gifted” to another runner, and you must use the same Ultrasignup account in which you originally registered for the race that you withdrew from.
