Brown Dogs Trail Races Timed Vertical

What could be better than running vertical in Vermont and hanging out with running friends and family? Run it You Won’t is a vertical endurance junkie’s ultimate challenge. See what you are made of at the 6/12/24 hours of Run it You Won’t at Mad River Glen.

If intense vertical is not your thing, run The Taste of Vertical 6 miler. 

New for 2022 "The Holy Mother 48 Hour" an Everest summit and descent event, in other words, you have 48 hours to climb 29,032 feet and 29,032 feet of descent. The course is a 6 "ish" mile loop with 2,400 "ish" feet of gain per loop. The loop starts at the base lodge and wanders to the top of the mountain seeking all the verticals we can cram into each loop. The downhill descent will be as much fun as the climb up! Your calves, quads, and your whole body will thank you for each loop you endure. A water stop will be placed on the course, and a full aid station will be available at the Start/Finish. The aid station will have quality race food you find at endurance races including broth, noodles, quesadillas, bacon, chips, candy, water, soda, sports drinks, PB&J, and more. Crew tents will be allowed near the Start/Finish aid station for runner support.
 
We will offer camping at the race starting Thursday, September 8th. Check-in is at 3:00 p.m. Quiet hours start at 9:30 p.m.

There will be awards for the top three male and female finishers for all distances, All participants will receive a finishers award. All registered runners who show up to the race will receive a race shirt. Shirts are not guaranteed for runners who sign up after September 1, 2022.

The Holy Mother 48 Hour starts Friday, September 9th at 8:00 AM. We will hold a brief, pre-race meeting at 7:50 AM Friday.

The 6/12/24 hour timed race will start Saturday, September 10th at 8:00 AM. The Taste of Vertical 6 miler will start at 8:30 AM.
​
Packet pickup will be Thursday and Friday from 3 PM to 7 PM or race morning from 7 AM to 7:45 AM. If you pick up your race packet Thursday or Friday night you will still need to be checked in race morning just to make sure you are starting the race. We will hold a brief, pre-race meeting at 7:50 AM Saturday.

The 6 hour ends at 2:00 PM; the 12 hour 8:00 PM on Saturday. The 24 hour and The Holy Mother end Sunday at 8:00 AM. If you do not finish a complete loop by the cut-off time, the loop does not count. The Taste of Vertical 6 miler has a 3-hour cut-off.

Entry fee includes race shirt, after race water, banana, and something bready. Top over all three male and female awards and finisher awards for all.

Run it You Won’t 12 hour - $95

Entry fee includes race shirt. Top over all three male and female awards and finisher awards for all. Water drop on the course, 1 main, fully stocked aid station, 100-mile buckle for anyone who can reach 100 miles.
