Timing

12-hour runners will have the hours of 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM to run as many laps of the 3.75ish mile loop around Cooper River Park as you want. Partial laps will not be counted, no new laps will be allowed to start as of 6:30 PM, and all loops MUST be completed by 7:00 PM for mileage to count. This rule requires some level of strategizing for the runners.

24-hour runners will have 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM to run as many laps as they want. No new laps will be allowed to start after 6:30 AM, and runners must complete their final loop by 6:59 AM for it to be counted.

100 Mile runners have a hard 29 hour cutoff at 12:00 PM Sunday. You must complete 21 laps (78.75 miles) by 7am to be allowed to continue. To be a finisher you must complete 27 loops of the course. You are NOT counted as a finisher unless you cross the finish line for your 27th lap.

Swag and Prizes

All 12-hour will receive a finisher medal and shirt. Earn a skeleton runner charm to attach to your medal for 10 (bronze), 15 (silver), and 20 (gold) loops completed. There will be awards for the top Male/Female/Team of the event.

24-hour solo runners will get similar swag plus an additional item TBD (hoodie or a jacket), unique to the 24-hour race, and anyone that runs 100 miles gets a buckle. 24 Hour team members get a medal and a shirt, but not the additional swag the solo runners get

100 mile runners receive a buckle for finishing and additional race swag.

We can only guarantee shirt size for anyone signed up by midnight on 5/25/24. Everyone still receives swag, but sizes will be on a first come first served basis for anyone registered after 5/25/23.

Double Looper Challenge - If you take on both Loopy Looper and Frosty Looper in 2023 you'll be taking home a special edition hybrid medal.

Awards for top 3 females and males, excluding the Glow-Up Loop.

Glow-Up Loop

We're hosting a party loop at 10pm called the Glow-Up Loop. This race is a single 3.75 mile loop of the course. Runners will be supplied with glowsticks and will get a glow in the dark medal for running. While it's chip timed, we're not doing awards or shirts for this race. This is a party loop.

4-Person Relay Rules

Relay teams are only allowed to have a maximum of 1 runner on the course at any point.

Runners will be allowed to run as many consecutive loops as they want to and can run in any order, but each team member must complete at least 1 loop.

Last Lap Exception: Teams are allowed to run their last lap all together to celebrate surviving the day, but this is the ONLY lap you can do, and it has to be the last lap of the day. This isn't mandatory, just an option for those teams that like to party with their friends

Drop Area and Aid Station

At the Start/Finish area at the stadium, there will be a drop/pit area for you to stash your stuff for the day and you can take as many breaks as long as you want during the event. No tents are allowed larger than 10x10 and no alcohol is allowed on site. The venue was recently remodeled. NO TENT STAKES ARE ALLOWED.

24 Hour/100 mile runners - we are setting up a dedicated pit area for you because there are timed sprinklers that will go off at midnight overnights. We will be sending out an email with pics and info about this.

Our aid station will be fully stocked with typical ultra food including plenty of vegan options. We will have Tailwind and water for hydration.

We'll have hot food for the 24 hour runners at night and throughout the night, and we always have ice water along with volunteers shooting water toys at you.

This race is a cupless race. Please plan to bring a bladder/pack, water bottle, or re-usable to cup to use for the day.

Deferrals and Refunds

We do not offer refunds for this event.

If for any reason at all we are unable to host the event as planned we will defer registration to the following year.

Voluntary deferrals will be allowed until 6/30/24. No exceptions after that.

Overnight Rules for 24 Hour/100 Mile Runners

The aid station at the midpoint will close at 7:00 PM and remain closed for the remainder of the race.

All runners MUST bring and wear a headlamp and a safety light in some form. This can be a light up vest, a small LED clip on, or a glowstick. Please no blinking or strobe lights.

All runners MUST check in with the race crew before you go out on another lap so we know where you are. This will only take a second as you pass through. If you're taking a break (more than 15 minutes) overnight, you must let the race center know.

Any runner not wearing the required gear will not be allowed to start a new lap until they do.
