Race Breakdown
All events will begin promptly at 9 am. Participants are welcomed earlier to claim a location for supplies. Our team will be setting up at 6:30am
24 hour rules
The town of Westfield has been extremely nice in allowing us to host a 24-hour race at one of their parks. Here are some rules 24-hour participants have to follow and the extra support they can have:
1. At night, all runners must use a headlamp and wear a reflective vest.
2. ONLY 24-hour participants are allowed a tent which can only be set up close to sundown. Our volunteers can help you.
3. Your support teams must limit as much travel as possible at night time. Try and make any supply trips before the sun is down.
4. Quiet hours starting at 8 pm.
Support
Anyone at the race is allowed to have their own support crew and team. This includes people to help provide personal aid and for any pacers.
At the race, we will be providing different forms of support for runners including normal race food and drinks, prepared food, and coolers full of cold towels.
If you are completing the 3hr and 6hr event, please leave the prepared food for the 9hr, 12hr, and 24hr participants. Food will be provided by local restaurants from Westfield, NJ.
Who is MissionCleanWater?
MissionCleanWater is a 501c3 nonprofit organization working to bring clean drinking water and sanitation to underserved communities both domestically and internationally.
We focus on the fact that 60% of all clean water projects in Africa have failed and that our communities in our NJ backyard are without clean water. We work every day on the ground with communities to develop a solution together. Through community relationship building, training, and long-term involvement, we want to fully maximize the investment in clean water and bring out its full potential.
Our team has been involved with the trail running community both as a hobby and professionally. We want to develop new race experiences that challenge runners to be more engaged, think on their feet, and work together. From these races, registration will act as a donation going towards our clean water efforts.
Race Medals
If you register after July 15th, we can not guarantee a race medal.
All participants will be given a medal based on their event completion. For 24 hour finishers, you have the chance to win a 100-mile belt buckle.
