Registration for the 5th Annual Gator Tail 5K Trail Run will close promptly at 7:45 AM on Saturday, October 28th. It is best to register as soon as possible!
Packet Pickup:
Packet Pickup Thursday, October 26th, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM and Friday, October 27th, 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM, or beginning at 7:30 AM on Saturday, October 28th
Getting Ready for the Race:
Please park in the front of the buildings. There will be signs directing you to parking.
The race will take place starting in the parking lot behind the buildings.
Race day registration and packet pickup will be available from 7:30 AM until 8:00 AM.
There may be some rain, so be prepared for mud puddles on the course.
Remember to bring insect repellent and sunscreen (because it might not rain!)
Course:
The Gator Gallop ½ mile run is through a sandy field, which can be a little muddy depending on weather conditions before the race. The Gator Tail 5k Trail Race begins at the Northshore Technical Community College in Lacombe. Runners traverse a variety of terrain including gravel, dirt, and grassy paths through the wooded area next to the campus and around the southwest perimeter of the Tamanend development, then there’s a small section of pavement before going back through the woods to the campus. Again, trail conditions can be wet and muddy, depending on recent weather conditions. There will be 3 water stations along the route.
Awards:
All 5k runners receive a race participation medal and a Gator Tail 5k Trail Run t-shirt. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female. All Gator Gallop runners receive a race participation medal and a t-shirt. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female Gator Gallup runners.
Registration costs:
Half-mile Gator Gallop, ages 10 and under: $10
5K Youth ages 10 to 15: $20
5K Adults 15 and older: $25 ($30 after September 30th)
5K NTCC Students: $20

Parking:
Ample parking is available on Centerpoint Blvd. in front of the school. The race activities are located in the parking lot behind the school.

Once again, NTCC’s YouthBuild Program will cater. Stay tuned for more details about the menu. Evamor is the hydration sponsor!

Virtual Option
New this year, runners who won't be able to participate in person may select a virtual option! This option provides a race t-shirt and participation medal by mail!
However, race completion times will not be considered for competition against those who participate in person.
