RACE #1
We're excited to have Squak In The Dark as the first race of the Vert Running Series. This five race series offers three divisions. Elite (Pros and those wanting to be pro), Sport (Recreational) and Masters (50+) Get more info on the
Vert Running Series.
Squak In The Dark will be held May 27, 2023 on Squak Mountain State Park in the great Issaquah Alps area.
We love vert and this night running event will supply 1500 feet of vert each loop that will challenge your running skills while giving you fast flowing downhill sections to let the wind blow through your hair and/or ears.
You have 8 hours to complete as many loops as your legs allow. Your last loop must be finished at 5 am.
DivisionsElite: Sponsored runners or runners wanting to build a resume to become sponsored
Sport: Trail runners who don’t have the time to train like the Elites but want to get out and give it their all.
Masters: 50 plus years of age, who still love to compete but are getting tired of those youngsters just nudging them out at the line.

Trees Not Awards
We’re partnering with Trees Not Tees to offer you the option of planting a tree instead of receiving our event participant finishers medal and neck gaiter. Planting a tree is one of the best things you can do to fight climate change, as they remove carbon dioxide from the air as they grow.
When registering, just choose the Trees Not Awards option on the waiver page. After the event you will receive certificate, photo and GPS coordinates of your tree's location.
