The Underground Circus 100
The Underground Circus 100 which is a no DNF race😊is being held on our beautiful scenic Atlanta's Silver Comet Trail and will take you 3.0 miles out and 3.0 miles back. The route is fast relatively flat asphalt which is surrounded by a grass trail so you can run on either, distance is the same. The trails are beautiful: trees, wooded areas so if want trail it's waiting for you. The trail will be open to the public but there will be always someone at the aid station. The race has a small town feel to it as I am up and down the course all day until the last runner finish. The start of the trail which runs to Alabama has plenty of restaurants, Publix and close to hotels. You're near our historic structures such as Dr. MLK Jr. house and GA TECH, Spellman and Clark Atlanta College, Mercedes Benz Stadium and The GA World Congress Center. The Aquarium and Civil Rights Museum and Morris Brown College is all within 15 minutes from the race site. The Park is in a suburb of Atlanta( Smyrna) and there is a Racetrack & QT gas station, restaurants across the street from the trails. This race is perfect for a 1st time Ultrarunner whom may not be used to staying up all day and night. Your assistance is a fully stocked (aid station) will be supplied with cups, sports drink as well as various snacks, all night soup, pizza and please if you have a restricted diet bring your items for the race. I love you guys but I will not be making coffee runs, extra batteries etc😀please come prepared for your 48 hours. The RD is on hand the entire time checking in on you. The RD has the final say on DQ. There will be no exceptions on course markings. If you do not cross the timing mat your lap isn't counted. There are many walkers/runners asking questions about what are you doing especially when they saw you running 8 hrs ago and wonder why you're still moving but it keeps you going. Saturdays are busy in Atlanta especially when it's hot and it's usually 80 degrees during May so sunscreen 😉. There are no sharp turns or non marked trails so no chance of getting lost. You only job will be run as much as you want. Remember don't stress about not making cut offs because we can always drop/change you to the timed events if you miss a cut offs. This is a challenge but definitely NO STRESS and the RD and volunteers are definitely here to help you. Pacers can be available on request but no one can carry you. We want to see you finish ❤️. Race Details
This race truly is great for a first time Ultra runner and or for someone looking for a fast time. You will get to run your desired distance, there is no chance of DNF!!
Volunteers
All volunteers receive some race swag as well as free entry to next year's event spring or winter. You must volunteer 5 hrs any shift. Thank you for helping ☺️
Race Weekend Schedule
May 25th 930am packet pick up begins, 100M/24HR runner check in/packet pick up! Chip timing results. ’All other distances packet pick up at 9:30am START TIMES 10:00AM 24HR/ 100M 34 HRS!! 50 MILE LIMIT 17HRS!! If you need more time for any distance I recommend signing up for the timed events so you can run as many miles as you can without stress. We're here to help and encourage you to get to your goal
Refund Policy
No refunds but you can transfer to another distance but no refunds and unfortunately cannot save your race fees for the following year😪 We strictly enforce COVID 19 guidelines , hand sanitizer and sanitizer wipes will be available for all of any specific needs please contact me well before the race.
Transfer of Distance
You can upgrade to a longer distance, just PAY the difference in pricing also you have until race day to truly decide what distance you want to transfer to. You can also downgrade to a lower distance but no refunds on the distance. There is NO REFUNDS especially since this is a fund raiser for the homeless. Outside of the supplies every dollar goes to my non- profit and it's tax deductible. You cannot transfer your race to someone else.
