Intro
Join us for the FOURTH annual Black Fly Run & Ride at this stunning location! Whether you’re a seasoned runner or tackling your first race, we’ve got a distance that will challenge and inspire you. Like last year, we’re introducing a 10-mile option for those wanting a bit more than a 5k, giving you the ultimate NEK spring-time experience.
When you cross that finish line, you’ll be greeted with cheers and a supportive, inclusive atmosphere. After you’ve refueled with some tasty food, relax and unwind with live music, and enjoy the chance to connect with friends—old and new!
Stay tuned:
Hey friends! I just wanted to put this out there for transparency. As some of you may know this winter has been an incredibly snowy winter in northern Vermont. Depending on how long winter last and the kind of melt we experience this could impact a couple things for our event.
One: Camping. If it is too wet folks will have to explore other camping options (we can help with this).
Two: The 5k course may not be able to use Sentinel Rock trails. If it is too wet we can not risk damaging these beautiful trails. This is not a big deal because I will adjust accordingly and reroute the course!

Course Desciptions
Half Marathon (13ish miles) - Approximately 3,300' of vert. Expect mixed terrain consisting of dirt roads and private trails over two mountain summits on what we think is the best course in Vermont! The half marathon is not a PR course - It's climby and variable depending on the weather & winter snow melt.
5k - Half dirt road & half trails on state land. This course starts off with a solid climb and ends with an epic view! Let's go!!
Post-Run Party!
Registered participants get:
Food (locally sourced farm to table)
Red Barn Brewing beer (or non alcoholic options)
Later that evening we will re-energize you with a proper barn dance! We will have a local band (Ashley Jane's Hootenanny) playing in the beautiful rustic Barn which is part of this incredible venue!
