    About our event

Are you looking for a spring challenge? Trying to conquer a new distance? The High Lea 6/12/24 hour and 100 mile race is waiting for you! The course is 2.92 miles with 225' of gain. Temperatures in late May in Richfield average between 58 and 78 degrees- great running weather! Most of the course is shaded and runs on camp roads and trail. The camp roads are not paved- they are gravel roads. Walkers & hikers are welcome at this event!
A portion of the proceeds will go to capital improvements at the Richfield Heritage Preserve.

6:00 AM start for all distances and there is a 30 hour cutoff for the 100 miler.
24 hour runners may have a pacer at the halfway point of 6:00 pm, and 100 mile runners may have a pacer at the halfway point of 50 miles. We will not have the 12 hour night option this year.
This is an old school ultramarathon with a small footprint and the majority of our volunteers are accomplished ultrarunners to help you achieve your goals.

    Bling

Belt buckles for 100 mile and 100k finishers
    Medals for the other distances

Deadline to register and receive your preferred shirt size is 4/20/2026.

    Packet Pickup

Friday May 15 from 5:00-6:30 at the summer barn. In Google maps, navigate to 2445 Oviatt Rd., Richfield OH 44286. For reference, you must turn right off of Rt 303 (coming from downtown Richfield) on Oviatt and go approximately 1/4 mile and the entrance is on your right.

    spectators

Spectators may park at the main entrance at 4374 Broadview Rd Richfield OH 44286. There is a kiosk with a map right at the parking lot in front of Gund Hall. Spectators can follow the pink flags to the start finish area or turn right at the large grass cut if they want a shorter .55 mile walk. Right on grass cut, down hill then back up and left where you see the pink flags again (you will be going the opposite way on the course here so please yield to runners). The park is open to visitors, so spectating is allowed anywhere in the park. Please abide by all park rules. Keep your dogs leashed and leave no trace!

    Camping options

Camping will be available Friday night starting at 5:00pm at the summer barn. Please select yes for camping during registration so we know how many to expect. Please do not arrive midafternoon to camp, as the gate will likely not be open until we are ready for packet pickup.

If you are not camping and will be staying in a hotel, we recommend:
    Fairfield Inn & Suites
    208 Springside Dr
    Akron OH 44333

It's about 18 minutes from the start.

We will have ramen or broth overnight as well as other hot foods and coffee. Aid station will be at the summer barn. The camping area and parking for the participants & campers will also be at the summer barn. Restrooms can be found throughout the park along the camp roads.
