Ran on a soft chat trail at the old Safari Golf Course. Runners will complete a certified 2.022 mile loop during their selected time. IMPORTANT your gps will read 2.08ish each loop, you will be rewarded for finisher awards of this distance, but records and official distance is 2.022 per loop. please keep this in mind when calculating your record goals. Full loops only will be counted. No loops completed after the strict cutoff times will count. In the event of a tie the time in which individuals complete the last full loop will be the tie breaker.
We will have a fully stocked manned aid station at the base camp just past the start/finish line. We will have a variety of snacks and hot foods available as well as water and Tailwind. You are strongly encouraged to carry your own water bottle or pack even though it is just over 2 miles for each loop. There will be plenty of space for you to set up your own tent or "camp" in the area of the Aid Station past the start/finish area of each loop. As well there are RV camp sites nearby.
Registration will include a tshirt and finishers award. Hoodies can be purchased at extra cost.
For 2026 race distance finisher awards for the furthest distance you exceed. We will update once we figure out our new buckles and awards since adding longer durations! You will only get 1 of the greatest distance you cover! Come and collect them all over the years!!
Deferrals will be good for one year.
Course Rules and Info
1) Runners must complete the course on their own. Runners must carry their own nutrition, no muling from pacers. The only Aid available for you to meet with your crew is at base station just past the finish of each loop.
2)We will have official timing for this event. If you do not wish to continue at any point please check out with the director at the finish line. Once crossing and "checked in" for the loop completed, exit the finish area and proceed to aid stations or continue running your loops. There will be separation of finish line and aid station so this should not be an issue. You will have plenty of room just be courteous and avoid bottlenecking at the aid.
3)The race will run counter clockwise at all times. there is enough room for 2 people to run side by side but realize we will have people of all paces running and allow room for people to pass.
4) Any course cutting will result in an immediate disqualification. We are running the outer most part of the course and will be well marked so you don't get off track.
5) All 48, 36, 24 and 12 hour runners will be required to have a headlamp or light for after dark. Although some portions of the course may have light it will still be required.
6) No strollers, dogs, bikes will be allowed on the course
Pacers
Pacers will be allowed after 12 hours. Only 1 pacer on course per entrant at a time, you may have multiple. Pacer bibs will be $5
Volunteers
Expanding our race means we need more help! Volunteer sign up will be active, if you cannot run this year you can get race credit for helping. every 8 hour shift will receive 50% off the next years sign up!
FAQ
Do I have to run/walk the entire duration I sign up for? No, you can complete as many loops as you want then call it a day. This is YOUR race. If you have a distance goal and you hit it early it is entirely up to you! All we ask is that you check out before you leave!
