The Experience
No Drama: Just Llama
The Llama Race
Presented by Dirty Wolf Racing
Come run loops, enjoy mountain views, and pet llamas—yes, real llamas with names and personalities! The Llama Race is a one-of-a-kind trail running experience held on the private and picturesque land of Earthshine Lodge. Whether you're racing for time or the love of trails (and llamas), this event promises something truly unique.
Runners and walkers are welcome, as long as you can finish within the time limit. Along the way, you’ll follow a scenic trail course marked with red ribbons and yellow arrows, winding through beautiful, foggy terrain that the resident llamas are lucky enough to call home.
You’ll be supported with a well-stocked aid station featuring race-day favorites like pickles, cereal, fruit, candy, pretzels, bacon, and drinks including Tailwind, water, and soda. First aid will be available onsite.
All finishers will receive a handmade pottery medal crafted by BlueGill Pottery—no two are alike. Each medal is a unique piece made just for you. You’ll also go home with a cozy race beanie, and yes—it might even have a llama on it!
This is a private event with a strict no-dogs, no-strollers policy (unless an exception is granted). Trekking poles are allowed on the course.
